Dr. Jaime Ponce de Leon Palomares is a weigh-loss surgeon in mexico, well know on the bariatric field. He has been practicing in Tijuana, Mexico for over 22 years, he recibe training as a general surgeon in “hospital general de Tijuana” as a laparoscopic gastroenterology.
Dr. Ponce de Leon became one of the pioneers on the lap-band in Mexico placing an extensive number of them. He has performed the sleeve and revision surgery procedures among many others.

DR. JAIME PONCE DE LEON
Dr. Ponce started Bariatric Surgery with Laparoscopy in 1998 when he got his Certification from the Mexican Association of General Surgeons. He later learned various techniques from courses he took in the United States and France.
He received authorization to perform Obesity Surgery with Gastric Bypass and Lap-Band from the Mexican Society of Obesity Surgeons in 2004 after having received formal training and authorization in 2001 directly from Bio Centrics Corporation.
Dr. Ponce is currently Chief Surgeon at various Baja Hospitals, and Mexico Extreme Makeover. He performs an average of 4 to 6 surgeries per day and he has a very high rate of success.
